Artificial Sweetners - Are they making you fat?

Do Artificial Sweeteners Make you Fat?

Have you read that people that use artificial sweeteners are actually gaining more weight than those who eat regular sugar? Interesting isn’t it.

Studies

Studies in mice showed that the mice that were exposed to artificial sweetener as opposed to sugar were raveness when chocolate cake was put into their cages. So maybe artificial sweeteners may not be as good for you as once thought. Many other studies are coming out showing that sweet cravings were actually less in those who ate sugar than those who ate artificial sweetener.

Look at people who drink diet soda. It makes you wonder that the people who are drinking diet soda are always heavy.

Why is that?

Is it causing them to crave more sweets, possibly?

Your Alternatives

So what else can you use other than artificial sweeteners? Well sucrose and fructose are forms of regular table sugar and cause a similar (slightly less) reaction than artificial sweeteners. You can try something natural like stevia or agave nectar. These have the taste of sweet, but do not spike your blood sugar levels as much as processed sugars. Even better yet, hire a professional food coach to help you decrease your sugar carvings.
