Are Synthetic Drugs Killing Us?
Prescription Drug "Side Effects", Worse than the disease?
By Gail Edgell, owner of Inside Out Wellness
Wow, we have come a long way. Well sort of. We now have prescription drug advertisements on TV. We have doctors that give pills for just about every ailment. 75% of all drugs that are prescribed are maintenance drugs.
Doesn’t that startle you?
Do you think that drug companies want to find a cure for disease?
No.
Why would they, when they are making millions from people taking pills.
Now don’t get me wrong, there is a time and place for medication, but in many cases it is our laziness to find the cure all without any effort. Realize that taking a pill comes with many side effects. You may not have hot flashes anymore, but now you are constipated and have a rash plus an array of other things.
I call this the downward spiral of your own health and wellness. At some point, there is no getting back up the spiral of side effects.
Synthetic drugs alter your chemical make up. In fact, synthetic drugs are seen as foreign substances in our bodies. So think about how this affects the harmony of your inner self.
Look at the drugs you are taking. Are there some that are not necessary?
Are there some you can decrease, perhaps go off all together?
What things can you do to start to make changes in your lifestyle that you will not need to rely on these drugs?
Know that 75% of people on anti-depressants do not have a chemical imbalance and truly do not need to be on them. They just need to look at why their lives are imbalanced and tackle one thing at a time.
So in the end drugs are killing all of us literally.
